The site is a Victorian terraced building on a parade of shops on the boundary between Camden and Westminster. The building was noted by the Local Planning Authority as including a good example of an original shopfront in the Conservation Area.
The client’s brief for a new private hospital involved several Planning Applications to gain consent for alterations to the basement and extensions to the rear and the roof to accommodate a highly serviced facility, as well as for new advertising signage.
The hospital includes surgical theatres, recovery and consulting rooms, overnight stay facilities and staff accommodation.
Co-ordination of services and all medical requirements has involved numerous consultants.
